Beware Of Unsavory MP3 Files
Watch for rogue sites

The incredible growth in the creation and trading of MP3 files has also created an undesirable effect. There are several ways this can happen, some intentional and some unintentional. The important thing to remember is that a few tips and stories will save you valuable download and listening time.
Step 1: Consider the source
All the legitimate sites featuring legal MP3 downloads verify the quality of the files they sell or give away. If you go to one of these legitimate sites, you will not have to worry about problem files.
Step 2: What is a legitimate site?
The legitimate sites are pretty easy to spot. There are too many to list, but you should look for a professional presentation, easily verifiable companies (not individuals) operating them, and a realistic offering of music.
Step 3: What is a realistic offering?
The old adage says, "If it looks too good to be true…it probably is". If a site has all the latest hits by the top stars, it is definitely not a legitimate site, and the copies are therefore illegal.
Step 4: Where is all the top music?
Because the major record companies have not been able to secure their music to prevent piracy, they have not allowed their top acts to release complete albums. They do use MP3s for promotional purposes though, and you can definitely find those all over the net.
