Sinboy - Experiment #13: The Path Which Should Be Taken
Artist: Sinboy (www.houseofsinboy.com)
Title: Experiment #13: The Path Which Should Be Taken
Genre: Rock/Experimental
Sounding like Gwen Stefani of No Doubt in desperate need of a Prozac, Sin
boy take sex appeal to a new level on their seven track release, "Experiment
#13: The Path Which Should Be Taken." With bad girl Elysa Grey singing her
lusty anger out sans any premonition, Sinboy is a band with no fear.
Unusual to find these days; a group with such raw power and feeling and
harshness all rolled into one orgasmic explosion. Guitar-driven rock with
electronic mixes thrown in, the band could pass as a love-child of Shirley
Manson and Trent Reznor. Growly intro with "High" is a good start; the tune
is introduced in a sultry manner then cuts loose and rocks out. The best on
here is an electronically dubbed mix that is sadistically sweet and
ironically called "Buttercup" (I wanna eat you up my little buttercup...)
Very strong, very seductive, just an all around kick-ass tune with a tight
guitar solo to make it wicked. "God Like Thunder" is another worthy one with
Grey showing her honest vocal talent. A heavy album in all aspects here-
thick instrumentals with a transcendent writing style and the perfect vocals
to make the words come alive.
