A sweet, simple pop opera about Freedoom, an evil dog that apparently
represents the corporate world in some way, or pollution, or major record
labels. You can read a lot into the concept, get positively or negatively
agitated about the politics that might or might not be expunged here, but
the songs themselves stand on their own without politics, lush with vocal
harmonies reminiscent of the Kinks and the Beatles, and nicely stuck
together with instrumental accompaniment. While they're not a part of the
Athens Elephant 6 collective (except for Elf Power's Adrian Finch), their
sound definitely fits into that whole music scene.
