Well, I've never heard of them before, but I will again. This UK band is one of the best I've heard. Period. The power of the guitar, combined with the way they write songs, combined with the lead singer's English voice and confidence* well, I'm all out of review now. That's really all I need to say. It's great.
It's great. That's about it.
No. Haven't changed my mind. Nothing else to say.
Okay, I will say that I'm having trouble locating a favorite song. This rock band skirts the edge of pop, being that their tunes are so melodic. Keep in mind that the Beatles aren't rock, they're pop (with a few exceptions), but Anastasia is rock with the Beatles' gift for giving a definite musical hook to everything they come up with. Bowie's here too, there's a little of his voice in the front man's here, especially on things like 'Suburban Love Story' and 'Mary'. And the guy on guitar needs to be complimented until his head swells to the size of his talent.
I hope to Buddha that Anastasia has more than these 13 songs written and out. If this is their debut try, they got it right the first time. 'Treading Water', 'Children', 'Over Me', and more, all great songs. No, I really can't decide between them. As I said. Sorry.
